The Ullesthorpe Golf Club was affiliated to the L&RGU in 1976. It is set in 120 acres
of Leicestershire countryside. Our 18 hole championship length parkland course offers
the toughest opening hole in the county, a par 5 of 582 yards, challenging greens,
numerous water hazards and one of the finest finishing holes in the county, another
par 5. From the back tees the Par 72 layout measures 6662 yards. Running through
the course is the former Rugby to Leicester railway line which carried trains from
1840 until 1961. The line is now an important part of the golf course as tee shots
for the 9th and 12th holes are played from the original embankment.
